Station 17 responded to reports of a large column of smoke coming from the other side of the lake from where the call to 911 originated. The duty firefighter checked his map and it appeared to be coming from Corner Oak Court - when he and Chief Gruszecki arrived they found it was a house and woods fire. The quick actions of Station 17 prevented the fire from spreading further, and the fire damage to the home was contained to the deck and siding of the home - Station 17 used their "thermal image" camera to check to see if the fire had spread into the structure. It is believed that a grill on the deck was the cause of the fire.
